I love this product! I have thick hair and random curls in the underneath of my hair. I put a tiny bit of this product in the palm of my hands and lightly run my hands through those parts and then dry and straighten. It works perfect! And it is so smooth I love the way it feels. It also helps control any static in my hair!

I have CUUURLY hair, and, after reading the reviews, decided it was worth a shot. I had a trip to NY that I wanted straight hair for; I would run a small amount through my hair before blowdrying, and it lasted ALL DAY. My hair was never heavy or greasy, and this product never clumped up, despite the weather being really humid! Got back to AZ, and it still works like a charm.

When I don’t use this, my hair is frizzy, funky, and rough. Even if I straighten my hair, it doesn't look or feel nearly as silky and smooth as it does when I merely blowdry with this product! I don’t even really need to straighten it after using this before drying. Even in 80% humidity this keeps my hair smooth for a few days.

I just used a new hairdresser and he used this on my hair! I am not a fan of tons of products in my hair! I don’t like the feeling. When I squeezed this out the first time I thought maybe it would make my hair feel weird or gross. After I was all the way done drying I touched my hair expecting it to feel gross and unnatural. Nope!!! It felt soft and manageable and like I didn’t have anything in there. It helped my hair look great! And not weighted down at all! Top of the Balms!

I've been looking at this product since August (2022) and then finally decided to purchase it. I don't really write reviews, however, upon using this product, I was excited to! I'm a mix of Italian and Norwegian, have predominately dry, thick, naturally wavy/curly hair, that is below my shoulders in length and cut in long layers. I have used many balms thru the years. I would say that with this product it's more for a seasoned "balm" user than a beginner. It comes out in a thick gel-like texture. For me this a great thing for my dryish texture and my consistent use of blow drying and flat ironing. I say for a beginner user of a hair balm like this, because of how concentrated it is, start with a small or teeny amount and go from there as you style - I used it on towel-dried hair. I applied a quarter sized amount at first, blow dried my hair and then added a little more, combed thru, hit it with the dryer again on cool and then flat ironed. All in all it cut my drying experience by a few minutes, and I was amazed at how well it worked with just the hair dryer while using my hair brush. I didn't even need to use that much of the flat iron. Also, note, I didn't apply any other hair products like serums, mousse etc. (sometimes i do have to layer hair products to achieve my end results). I am so HAPPY with the end result: my hair came out so beautiful, shiny and healthy looking and to my happy surprise, very soft and flowy - not the stiffness or weight that some of the other products leave on my hair. I was just amazed and said to myself, 'why did I wait so long'! My blonde is lighter, shiny and healthy looking (I use loreal box dye). I feel with all being said, this product a winner for me!

This stuff is amazing. I didn't buy it for a while because of the price, then my family got me some for Xmas. I will never deprive myself of this ever again. I have naturally curly, thick hair that I blow dry and then use a chi to straighten more and remove frizz. This product completely removes the frizz and the need to use the chi straightener. I use the Revlon blow drying brush and my hair is perfectly straight, smooth and silky silky soft after just blow drying with this product. Did I mention silky? I freaking love it. Rub into towel dry hair throughout entire hair and especially the ends for perfect results.

This is a gel, and you have to be careful not to use too much. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. I have a chin length bob, and the first time I used this, I used about a lima bean sized wad. It was too much. The next time I used a pea sized wad and it was perfect! I used the bonding spray first...5 sprays into my hands. I don't spray things directly on my hair. You get too much product in areas and not enough in others. I spread it evenly and then warmed the balm in my hands. The smell is very nice, and it distributes well. It cut drying time by 1/3. It leaves a nice shine. No static, and very few fly aways. I used a drop of the dry oil and it took care of the few fly aways I did have, and added a beautiful shine and smell. I will continue to use all three of these products, and highly recommend them!

Really does straighten my frizzy mess

This product instantly straightened my frizzy hair. The problem is that it totally took out the curl too, and made it pin straight (which is not an attractive look on me). I had hoped that it would remove the frizz and leave the wave/curl so that I can use it when I'm out and about on a muggy or rainy day to calm my hair as needed. That won't be possible since I need to use a curling iron after using the cream to put some life back into it. So, for use as an at home pre-curling iron tool, I would definitely recommend it.

My hair gets very frizzy in the southern heat but this product is amazing. I am frizz free for at least 24 hours and I usually get two days before the frizzes come back. My daughter borrowed it and said she had to get some because she's never used anything that controlled the frizz like this does. You only need a small amount. I have shoulder length hair and I only use a dime sized amount, if you use too much, it will feel a little greasy so you'll have to experiment to see what's the right amount for you.

This product is amazing and did everything it said it was supposed to do. My hair is very coarse and coily and dry, this stuff made it SO SOFT and very straight. I would def recommend. My blow dry time was definitely cut in half it usually takes me about 30 mins to completely dry my hair. With this it took probably 10 mins if that. The price was good and it seems like this bottle will last me a really long time if you don’t use very much. I put it all over my hair in sections a little at a time and blow dried it in those sections. All in all this is definitely worth the buy!

Not as good as a Brazilian Blowout from Salon

Not as good as a Brazilian Blowout from salon, but for home use it is a great product. I used the Brazilian shampoo and conditioner then applied the thermal straightening balm combed through and let set for 5 minutes than spayed iconic bonding spray on. During the blowout you can feel the elastic it creates. My hair looks shiny, healthy and somewhat straight. Will finish with flat iron.

This is by far one of the best leave in serums I have ever used. It adds shine, smooths the cuticle and totally eliminates frizz without adding grease or weight.

I have curly, but BB treated hair. I don’t need a lot of straightening but definitely help taming frizz. This product works wonders! You do have to find the right ratio for your hair - if I use too much, it weighs it down. But this should be a staple product for anyone looking to maintain that sleek look. I got the Brazilian smoothing treatment done recently but it didn’t turn out like I hoped. I was still having a hard time controlling my naturally thick, curly, frizzy/fluffy hair. I got this as kind of a last ditch effort to tame my beastly hair into submission and to my surprise it worked well. I have been fighting my hair most of my life - I’ve gotten reverse perms, the keratin straightening, Brazilian straightening, and the Brazilian blowout. I’ve had tons of different flat irons, blow dryers, and of course straightening products. Of all the products I’ve tried, I’m most impressed with this one. It kept my hair from getting really hot while blow drying/straight it and it came out much smoother (less frizz/flyaways). I’m not sure that it spend up the actual process of blow drying it but I’m happy with the outcome none the less. I’ve read some reviews that it can leave a residue or coating on your hair - that’s likely from using too much or doing it on hair that’s too dry. You want to put this on damp hair after a shower and I only did a pea size amount and I have SO much hair and it’s very thick. So be careful, especially if your hair is thinner naturally. You only need a tiny tiny bit!

Ok - do NOT use the suggestion of the directions to “use a generous amount”. I followed the instructions and my hair ended up very sticky and difficult to dry. Then I read the reviews and saw others suggested to use a much smaller amount. The 2nd time, I used maybe a gumball-sized amount and WOW what a much better difference. My hair was not sticky, dried shiny and straight. I will update with pictures after a few weeks of using the product to show the difference.

Im a straight male with wavy very thick hair. Years ago I realized my hair routine can be shortened if I used hair straightener after my showers, so I’ve using hair straighteners for about 10 years. Recently the company that makes my staple hair straightener stopped making it. So Im currently experimenting and researching. This brazilian blow out is my first test outside my regular brand. Day 1: Noticed the consistency is about the same as my old straightener but this one smells very nice. My hair reacted positively to this new brand. Honestly better than I expected. No issues with this product so far. I will update this again in a month. For now 5 stars is appropriate.

I have fine hair consisting of a mixture of textures varying between slightly wavy and straight. Both frizz and textural inconsistencies are a big issue for me. This product is absolutely superb!! Please never stop making this.

Good not great

I have very thick brunette hair with a kind of wavy upper layer and curly under layer (an adult, less cute Hermione Granger from the Sorcerer’s Stone when not styled). I can almost never get the under layer straight with just a blow dryer and a brush and even a flat iron doesn’t work without it being at the very highest setting and leaving that burning hair smell. This product does help - I feel like I can get it as straight with a just a blow dryer as when I use a blow dryer and flat iron. Four stars because it’s not a silver bullet, is kind of hard to evenly distribute, and leaves a bit of a residue. Good to have in the arsenal but the search for the perfect product continues!

More like oil

I really needed this to work, but it didn't have enough HOLD for my hair. It is the consistency of an oily gel. I have long hair, thin and fizzy, with loose, irregular waves. This gave me shine, and after the blow dry my hair was smooth--but it didn't stay straight at all :( The waves came right back.

This stuff is awesome. My daughter has thick wavy hair which she do not appreciate. She like for it to be blown out. I have used so many products but this did the job. I don't have to use as much, can blow dry all hair together, even my daughter said flat ironing was quick this time. I have locs now but if I found this stuff before. I probably would have skipped the locs. This stuff would have made a difference.

Softer and Straighter Hair

Used this for the first time the other day. I have very thick, wav y hair. I waited a day to straighten my hair and it was so much easier than usual. My hair is straighter and softer.

Got the waves/curls out of my hair

My hair is half straight and half wavy. After being pregnant, the waves are impossible to get rid of regardless of blow drying or straightening. I used this product along with a bristlebrush/hair dryer combo and it worked! The wavy part is now straight like the rest! Whether it lasts between washes has yet to be determined, but at least I have something that works on the occasions I want to wear my hair down!

Love this for straightening out my curly hair. I have an odd inconsistent curl pattern to my hair that cannot be left in. This not only helps straighten it out while blow drying, I can get away with not using a flat iron.

Light and effective

I love this straigtening balm. I have long, thick, curly hair and this balm works better than any other I have ever tried. I add a small amount to wet hair and let my hair air dry over night. I use a flat iron in the morning and my hair ends up silky and smooth. My hair will stay straight and smooth for several days. I highly recommend this product if you have really curly and course hair like I do.

I’ve straightened my hair regularly for over 10 years. I’ve always used CHI oil with a straightener but decided to switch to blowdrying with a blow-dry brush. This product is amazing. I have very frizzy hair and it smooths it perfectly. I haven’t used it in humidity or rain yet, however. CHI is great for that. I have high hopes for BB! Try it!

This is NOT a permanent straightener! Stop thinking it is!

I read A LOT of the reviews on this product before purchasing which is why I used the headline I did. One should always read what the product is used for. There's a reason only professionals should use permanent straighteners; they're trained. And even those aren't permanent since hair grows. I used the size of a quarter of the product and my hair is just past my shoulders. I haven't had my hair done in 9 months (stupid Covid!) so my roots are virgin hair which is a light brown and more gray then I would hope. My hair is naturally wavy with some parts of it being actually curly. It tends to be on the coarse side and the gray has not helped that one bit! Personally, I think this product is fantastic and does exactly what it's supposed to! It's expensive but considering the small amount I used, it'll last me.

Detailed Description on my Experience

Let me start off this review with a little background. I’m Latina, so I have naturally THICK, EXTREMELY CURLY, COARSE hair. I’ve have stylists get nervous when they see my natural mop. I have always straightened it since highschool because I just feel better when it’s straight. In July 2020, I got my first Brazillian Blowout. Living in Louisiana has extreme humidity and it was the best decision ever. Pricy, but worth it. I have been using ONLY Brazillian Blowout products I got from the salon after my treatment. I want to make my treatment lasts longer so I decided to order this. After using my Brazillian Shampoo + Conditioner, I followed the directions and applied about a quarter size root to tip. It did feel greasy but I was not going to assume without seeing the results first. I then applied my usual Ionic Bonding spray and started blow drying. I instantly felt the thickness it created. As my hair is already very thick, this was not my mail goal. On a positive note, you can feel how much it protects your hair from the heat. After blow drying I went over it with a straightener and I had to make sure it was on because my hair was so protected and I couldn’t feel any heat from the iron. It straightened very well with the blow dryer by itself though. After the entire routine, I ran my hands through it and it felt like I just did a hair mask or fresh out the salon. Very silky and smooth. Overall, here are my key points: • A little does go a long way! I will be using a nickle size next time • Personally, I will start at my tips then go to the roots with the residue left on my hands. I’m naturally prone to oil buildup and I think this will give me a cleaner, less oily look. • I give it a 8/10 and will be using it again. I don’t have fly aways like I did before but I also liked my hair not feeling as poofy and thick, which this balm does. • This picture was taken right after the entire routine described above.

Amazing results!

I love this product! My hair is as smooth as it is leaving the salon. I purchased this upon reading reviews and I’m so glad I did. My hair is thick and wavy after blow drying it’s straight and silky smooth. The gel/ cream is on the thick side and thought it would weigh my hair down but it didn’t. I applied about a quarter size amount to my towel dried hair. A little goes a long way.

Satisfactory Purchase

This product made my hair like silk and kept it shiny for days. I have baby fine hair that can be weighed down and greasy with too much product. Taking the advice of other reviewers, I used a dime size on my damp hair before bed and straightened my hair in the morning. I have gone three days without washing and have re-straightened my hair. It's not greasy at all and my hair looks healthy! I'm sure this will last a long time. Oh and it smells like green apples!

I have curly thick hair and I bought this product strictly to straighten it. I recently cut it short, so I thought straightening it would be much easier with short hair and using this product after reading good reviews. But I'm disappointed because it didn't straighten my hair at all. Instead, it made it puffy, maybe I didn't do such a good job with the comb and hair dryer. I think it might work if you keep doing it for more than 30 minutes, not sure, but I think it's a hit or miss. Good luck

Love this product..I have wavy hair and got blowouts prior to getting pregnant.. I use leave in conditioner when I get out of shower and then this and my hair dries soft with zero frizz.. if I wanna use flat iron it still is frizz free even without having the blowout done

This product is absolutely amazing! I have curly frizzy hair and this product along with a flat iron makes my hair silky smooth and straight. I usually go to the salon twice a year for the professional Brazilian blowout at the tune of $450 a pop. I get pretty darn close to the same results at a fraction of the cost! Highly recommend!

Sweat and super muggy NC summers proved more than this product can handle, my hair didn't become frizzy but did become wavy and curl in those conditions. Under normal circumstances I have been content with it's performance.

I put a small amount on my hair as reccomended & blow-dried ( just to dry it) & flat-ironed my hair & wow; this stuff actually works! Best Straightening Product I’ve Ever Used!

I have never used a straightening product that works so well! I have very curly, thick, frizzy hair. When blow drying, I usually separate my hair into five sections, but after my second use, I have not separated at all. I put the product in my hair, let it air dry for about ten minutes (per my usual routine), and then blow dry my hair straight without sectioning at all, and it takes me less than half the time! Since middle school I have tried every product under the sun to no avail, and I have never been so satisfied as I am with this product! I don’t write product reviews, but I couldn’t help but share this amazing news with all of my curly, frizzy-haired comrades!

This product is so amazing that I felt I had the obligation to write this review. I was in a phase that I was hating my hair and couldn't find any product that really made a difference... this one DOES. My hair reaches my waist and I've been straightening with a flat iron for more than 3 years so it is super frizzy and unhealthy but with this product, I don't even need to use the flat iron anymore. Seriously, I use the product and dry my hair with the hair drier, comb it and make a low bun for 1-2 hours. Then I have a slightly wavy hair like the celebrities with ZERO frizz and super shiny. I really love it!!! It really makes a difference.

New go-to straightener!

I've been getting my hair straightened for a few years and this is the first time I purchased the straightening balm. I wish I'd used it sooner. I find it to be a great compliment to the shampoo and conditioner. With other products, I have to use a lot to get through my thick hair, but just a small dab of this gets the job done. I can use a paddle brush to blow out my hair quickly and my hair is soft and silky.

Love the smell

I love the smell of the product and while my hair is wet it feels great but after I blow dry it my hair looks frizzy and it is supposed to do the opposite.

My new go to product

I have struggled with bad hair days every single day of my life until this product. I have kinky, frizzy, fine hair that requires styling every day and even then it doesn't ever look good at all. I was looking into getting a brazilian blowout but I chose to purchase the styling products instead. I have used it a total of 3 times and let me tell you I am completely amazed! It made a huge difference just in the first use. My hair is manageable now and holds a style without frizz or flyaways. I used this product and styled the day before and I woke up the next morning and all I had to do was brush and my hair looked and felt better than ever. I have spent less time fighting my hair and more time loving it. I use this with the daily serum and the results are flawless. I am so happy I don't have to waste my money on bunk products with false promises any more. I am hooked on this :)

Cannot live without this product   

This product is simply amazing. I have very thick, wavy/frizzy hair and this straightening balm smooths my hair without weighing it down and BONUS...eliminates frizz. My hair looks so sleek and shiny and I can go a few days w/o washing and still have stick straight hair. It has also cut down on my straightening time because now all i have to do is blow dry my hair using a paddle brush and it looks like I styled it with a flat iron. Prior to this, I was using aragon oil in my hair, but Brazilian Blowout straightening Balm has taken its place. Trust me, with the styling time you save and way your hair looks, it is totally worth the money.
